THE NIGHT OF THE SANCTUARIES
“The Night of the Sanctuaries intends to give the local Church the opportunity to experience the Sanctuary as an integrated pastoral laboratory and the territory to rediscover its identity and belonging. The Shrine, on this night, will be lived as a place where the person can be reached by the Word that invites to discernment and calls to witness and mission. "It will be an opportunity to be able to live communion with all the Shrines in Italy.
For the 2022 edition, the Sanctuaries of Palermo and Santo Stefano Quisquina will come alive with the light of hope along the Itinerarium Rosaliae.
PALERMO
L’appuntamento è alle ore 20.30 sul Sagrato del Santuario di Santa Rosalia sul Monte Pellegrino. Alle ore 21.00 avrà inizio la veglia di preghiera, presieduta al Santuario dall’Arcivescovo di Palermo, S.E. Rev.ma Mons. Corrado Lorefice.
Il momento liturgico, aperto a tutti i fedeli, sarà animato dalle realtà ecclesiali locali della diocesi di Palermo. Si aprirà con il Rito del Fuoco, un pellegrinaggio alla Sacra Grotta, per poi articolarsi in vari momenti. Liturgia della Parola, meditazioni, canti e gesti durante l’Adorazione eucaristica condurranno i fedeli in un itinerario di preghiera che si concluderà con la preghiera giubilare e l’affidamento a S.Rosalia.

In Palermo The Night of the Sanctuaries is organized by the Sanctuary of Santa Rosalia, Kòrai - Territory, Development and Culture | Territorial workshop "Itinerarium Rosaliae" and the Office for the Pastoral Care of Leisure, Tourism and Sport of the Archdiocese of Palermo in collaboration with the diocesan offices of Social and Labor Pastoral; Pastoral care of the family; Pastoral care of Ecumenism and interreligious dialogue; Youth Ministry Service; Pastoral service for people with disabilities; Diocesan Caritas; Cultural Heritage Office; Liturgical Office; Office for Social Communications-Press Office and with the CEI Leisure Tourism and Sport Office and the National Connection of Sanctuaries.
