Itinerarium Rosaliae

On the slopes of Monte Moarda, overlooking the immense valley of the "Conca d'Oro", Altofonte, which boasts ancient and noble origins, was the residence and hunting center of the Norman King Roger. its name derives from the numerous springs that cross the upper part of the town. with its over one thousand hectares of wood it represents the "green lung" of the metropolitan area of Palermo. Tranquility, pleasantness of the landscape, numerous fountains  belonging to different eras that operated the millstones of ancient mills.
